UNDEF Project: Engaging Civil Society and Youth in Public Policy Dialogue
Project Citizen Workshops:
Casablanca Workshop: 5-7 April, 2013
The Moroccan Center for Civic Education organized a three-day workshop for a group of eminent Moroccan NGOs and youth. The workshop was organized in the framework of the Project “Engaging Civil Society and Youth in Public Policy Dialogue in North Africa” funded by The United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) . The workshop gathered 25 civil society leaders and 25 youth representatives from the region of Greater Casablanca.
Fez Workshop: 5-7 April, 2013
Simultaneously, and along three days, a similar workshop was organized in Fez under the same framework. The workshop benefited more than 25 civil society leaders and 25 youth representatives coming from the region of Fez-Boulmane.
Through the highly successful Project Citizen curriculum, the Casablanca and Fez workshops sought to assist participants to engage in informed dialogue about public policy; advocate for issues in which they believe, and influence public authorities to address their needs and maximize their roles in the management of local affairs.
