MCCE – RELO Access Award Ceremony

May 30-31, 2014 Benslimane

On May 30-31, 2014, The Moroccan Center for Civic Education supported by the Regional English Language Office (RELO), US. Embassy, Morocco got together all Access Centers from different regions of Morocco for An Access Award Ceremony. Access students from Ain Harrouda, Bouznika, El-Jadida, Settat, Sidi Bennour and Tiflet presented their English works and contributions in front of friends and family, teachers, coordinators, U.S. Embassy officials, inspectors and media representatives.


The opening ceremony was attended by the Ministry of Education policy makers, Local authorities’ representatives, RELO officials, namely Mr. Robert Lindsey and Mr. Abdellatif Khadra.

The event has been reported on Morocco National TV (AlOula) and a number of newspapers including declarations and interviews with the Moroccan Center for Civic Education and Ministry of Education.

About Access

The English Access Microscholarship Program is a two-year project, funded by the US Department of State through the Regional English Language Office (RELO), US. Embassy, Morocco to create a unique program of 180 hours of class time per year to support students from underprivileged families aged 13 to 20 from different regions across Morocco to learn the English language and participate in community issues. The   program builds tolerance, understanding, self confidence, and exposes students to American values and culture.
